Kia Carens, Kia’s fourth product for the Indian market, will debut in February 2022. Carens is an India-only model that was unveiled to the world in December and will compete in the sub-20 lakh three-row vehicle market against Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700. A 115 hp 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 140 hp 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed MT / 7-speed DCT, and a 115 hp 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed MT / 6-speed AT will be available.
Imperial Blue, Moss Brown, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Glacier White Pearl, and Clear White will be among the eight color options available for Carens.
The vehicle boasts an all-new front fascia with sleek LED headlights and integrated DRLs, rather than the conventional tiger-nose front grille. A chrome line runs across the centre, and three-stack vertically positioned fog lamps and a chrome accent are added to the front bumper and massive air intake grille. The car also has LED lighting at the back, and it rides on sporty 16-inch alloy wheels. Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus will be the five trim levels offered by Carens. The car will be available with both petrol and diesel engines, as well as manual and automatic gearbox options – 6MT, 7DCT, and 6 AT.
